Connect your AI tool
Every AI tool connects to the same MCP server address. MCP is the standard way AI tools reach outside apps.
https://automations.keystile.com/mcp/platformThe first time, a Keystile sign-in page opens and asks you to Allow the tool. After that, the tool can use the apps you connected, through Keystile, and it shows up under its own name in the record. You never paste a password or app key into the AI tool.
- Open Settings → Connectors in claude.ai or the Claude desktop app.
- Click Add custom connector. Name it
Keystileand paste the address above. - Click Connect, sign in to Keystile, and click Allow.
- In a new chat, open the tools menu and make sure Keystile is switched on.
-
Add the server:
Terminal window claude mcp add --transport http keystile https://automations.keystile.com/mcp/platform -
Start Claude Code, run
/mcp, choose keystile, and sign in. A browser window opens for the Keystile sign-in. -
Ask Claude Code to “list the Keystile tools you can use” to check.
To share it with your team, add it to the project instead: claude mcp add --transport http --scope project keystile …
creates a .mcp.json you can commit. Each person still signs in as themselves.
-
Open Cursor Settings → MCP → Add new MCP server, or edit
~/.cursor/mcp.json:{"mcpServers": {"keystile": { "url": "https://automations.keystile.com/mcp/platform" }}} -
Click Connect next to keystile and sign in to Keystile.
-
In Agent mode, ask “what Keystile tools do you have?”
- Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode (available on plans that support custom connectors).
- Click Create, name it
Keystile, paste the address above, and choose OAuth for authentication. - Sign in to Keystile and click Allow. Then enable Keystile in a chat from the + menu.
Add to .vscode/mcp.json in your project (or your user settings):
{ "servers": { "keystile": { "type": "http", "url": "https://automations.keystile.com/mcp/platform" } }}Click Start above the server entry and sign in. Use it from Copilot Chat in Agent mode.
Windsurf: add to ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json:
{ "mcpServers": { "keystile": { "serverUrl": "https://automations.keystile.com/mcp/platform" } }}Any AI tool that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in (OAuth) works the same way: give it the address, sign in, Allow.
Check it works
Section titled “Check it works”Ask your AI tool:
Using Keystile, list the apps you can use for me and one thing you could do in each. What it looks like
Section titled “What it looks like”An AI tool connected to Keystile, working in GitHub: reads are allowed, a branch delete and a client’s Social Security number are stopped, each with the reason.
See and remove connected tools
Section titled “See and remove connected tools”In Keystile Automations → MCP server you see every AI tool connected for your project, and what each has done recently. Remove a tool there and it loses access at once, without touching any app password.
Your own software and agents
Section titled “Your own software and agents”Building your own agent? Use the Keystile console to create an API key, and have your agent ask Keystile before each action. Ask your Keystile contact for the developer guide.
