Start a workflow when… (4 triggers)

  • New Mention — Triggers when someone mentions your account in a post, including replies and direct messages. On mastodon.social and other servers running Mastodon 4.3 or later, direct messages and mentions from accounts you do not follow may be held back by your notification filters (Preferences > Notifications) and will not trigger the flow until you accept them.
  • New Follower — Triggers when someone starts following your account. If your account requires follow approval, people appear here only after you accept their request.
  • New Status from Account — Triggers when a specific account publishes a new post. For accounts on other servers, only posts that reach your server are seen, so following the account makes this reliable.
  • New Status with Hashtag — Triggers when a new public post uses a hashtag. Posts from other servers are included once they reach your server.

How Keystile protects it

Every Mastodon action is checked before it runs, whether it comes from an AI tool or a workflow. 36 of its actions change data; your rules, limits and budgets decide whether each is allowed, held for a person or stopped, and it all goes into the signed record.

Use Mastodon with your AI assistant — safelyClaude, Cursor or ChatGPT do the work; Keystile checks every action first.
